i don’t believe in god;
i am a scientist. science is intricate & predictable, it’s easy for me to reconcile my life & the world around me in scientific terms. i trust in what has been proven, in theories with evidentiary proof, in cellular processes. but i find boundless comfort in the human labyrinth.
the body is such an extraordinary, beautiful, complex, devastating miracle. the sheer moment to moment physiology on a molecular level is enough to shake my existentialist belief system to the core. such delicate equilibriums & networks exist simultaneously; we have to have been given this incredible machine for some purpose
